Fabulously spiritual weekend

You know when I saw this woman in the crowd waiting for the 5k run to begin I wondered if she would be my competition. Well, she was. She lingered behind me, resting, until the last half mile of the run then shot ahead of me to come in first and me second! The trophies are nice! But! I know I need to slime down and try harder. She was merely cruising along. The arch in my feet was aching. I need to get training, I guess!

I am registered to run the half marathon coming in November. I'm excited. I love the tense sense of competition electrifying the air. You can feel the tension and spot the last minutes Johnnie on the Spot anxious users. Slightly, yes, I am one of them. Although seeing others uneasy makes me uncommonly more at ease. No, I can't figure that one out either.

My love came in first place in her age category. Her trophy was slightly bigger. She was going to take hers homes and place it in a box. I told her she needs to display it! I proudly do in my curio cabinet up front where every one can feast their eyes.

We went for a 40 minutes swim after the run. Well, after we scarfed down a few banana and carried our trophies around some. It was a proud day.

The run was hard for me because I got wrapped up in the excitement and started out too fast. Normally, I have a nice calm happy minimum pace of about a ten minute mile. Hey what's the rush?

Well, everyday I think I am going to get out there and do better. I need to do speed training. Well, I'll give it a world. They (would ever "they" are) say running gives you a natural high but I doubt that. Personally I think I get a better high from blowing my saxophone. I love my saxophone.

Well, I'm tired now it was a busy weekend with interrupted playful times - and we'll leave it at that.

It was good to get back home though where all my stuff resides. I love her but miss my space after a while. Maybe if I had my guitar with me. But, I don't get enough good sleep and I had a headache all weekend. So, I'm tired now! It's good to be back home. I need my space and my rest and I am sure she does too.

Welcome!
