And how much are we paying for these cars with bumpers that cannot withstand a 5 MPH bump? Have you noticed all the SUV's, but cars in particular, with punched in corners of bumpers? Seems that there really is no such thing as a car bumper anymore as we knew it! Well, they are not up to the standards of old anyway when bumpers were a cross bar of steel instead of a space filled with air only.
And these concave bumps in bumpers are expensive to fix and probably why I see so many of them. I guess the auto repair shops and the insurance companies are making a mint...so are they in cahoots with the auto manufacturers? Just something to ponder while you are parallel parking your car!
