It's only the church centuries before who came up with the idea that if everything was wrong and sinful, then the church would get a lot of business and therefore be VERY POWERFUL - MERELY DIRECTLY PUPPETS (that's you!). Besides they wanted to see if they could control the behavior of the whole world. So they marched out (the Crusades) and killed all the non-joiners. Yes, murder is okay, if yours is the one true religion! Holy Mother the Church (that was the church leaders way of throwing a crumb to the Catholic/Christian women). Such bullshit - and you people fall for this stuff - for centuries now. I guess it's easier to "listen and obey" (makes the church happy - that's exactly what "they" want you to do - fool). You know so does the government Bush, Cheney, Rove etc., They count of you keeping your brain in "neutral" and being led around by the nose. They don't want you to use your brain - neither group does! And you are doing a wonderful job! Even the US automakers and oil mongrels are laughing all the way to the bank because you are so easily fooled. Oh and another thing, while I am on the subject. Air pollution is big business. It makes you sick and gives you disease and cancer and look at how that helps make big money for doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies. See, you do have a purpose! Keep smoking too - they love it. The government doesn't have the FTA (firearms, Tobacco and Alcohol) agency for nothing! Keep up the good work - you are keeping the economy going!

And why don't marriages last? But long male and female "friendships" do? Oh come on? Centuries ago the church (who wanted to rule the world and are doing a pretty damn good job of it) decided homosexuality was wrong, just so they could make everyone sinners, then claim to be able to "cure" them (and take your money trying). Members of the church knew homosexuality was predominate in society and that "straight" was the "unnatural" - male and female only came together to reproduce; they weren't meant to "get along" or be compatible.
Societies in Africa prove this point. Men and women live separate and only come together to mate. I think they are called !Yemen. Eleanor Roosevelt studied them. No, really!
Why do you think that there is the "Down Low" society among "so called straight" men. The Down Low society are married men who sneak around and have sex with other married men who claim to be straight.
Maybe it's more fun to sneak? Maybe the doctrines of the church were written to create evil and wrong doing concerning just about emotion because sneaking is more exciting and fun. And then the priests in the confessionals got to hear "all the good stuff"!
Come on people - the fathers of the church are HUMAN! Hello! Doesn't that tell you everything? That mean they are no holier or better or more saintly THAN YOU ARE! Get real and begin to think for yourself - you if you do then you will be agnostic and a spiritual being here on earth because you wanted to come here and fully fueled with all the powers you need to create your own environment! Only you are too fooled to realize this; that you do have all the power "within" to be and do whatever you wish. You're doing it anyway.
For example, if you reach a certain age and think will my daddy died of a heart attack at fifty-five. Well, in your mind, you will become him. You will take on the appearance of him because you will find yourself eating as he did and being just as sedentary and soon to you will develop the illness and conditions that lead to heart disease. See, you created your own environment.
I'm not finished yet, I just thought of something else: Arnold S, governor of California. He's repbulican right! So he is giving you a line of bullshit and mere lip service when he says that he will actually do something about the poor air quality in Los Angeles. Don't let him kid you! Ever since the electric car catrastrope in the 90's and early 2000, the state government as no intention of cutting air pollution. Know why? They are all in cahoots with big oil and auto industries who suppose the Federal government which is made up manly of Republicans (and I do believe that the Democrats think the same way - they want their hand in the cookie jar too!). Trust me no one in religion, government, or business cares about "you" or your pocket, or you well-being. They are all out to line their pockets with big money! So much for government by the people for the people! Lip service is all that is!
Now if you have noticed - and just maybe you are beginning too - that the majority of these people running the show are MEN! Men are out to get their jollies and rule and conquer and step on the little guy. MEN want to get off and know everything, teach and preach and rule the little guy. So don't forget that! And being as intelligent as you are - now you know why things are the way they are! Congratulations! Welcome to an eye opening moment!

Good post! Here's another viewpoint of this whole sordid mess and the low-life scoundrels running this country.
Christian Political Leadership, Hypocrisy, Duplicity, and Purposeful Evil
The current scandal involving Congressman Foley is merely the latest in an amazingly long list of blatant deception and duplicity by Republicans and the Christian Right in recent years. While bedeviling us all with their holier-than-thou pretenses, they consistently support and/or perform blatant greed and abominable evil. Never forget the extent of their arrogance over the last two decades and especially the last 6 years. It is beyond amazing that Christians continue to blindly support such obviously blatant scoundrels, even as they are repeatedly exposed going against the most basic of human values. The level of hypocrisy and duplicity boggles the mind. There is no longer any doubt, whatsoever, that Christianity is little more than a purposeful deception used by political and religious leaders to dupe, manipulate, and coerce entire populations into giving them wealth and power, which they always use for greed, injustice, and abominable evils.
The actions of Foley and those who covered up for him directly parallel the actions of scores of priests that have raped innocent children, preyed upon others for centuries, and had their actions hidden and abetted by the Vatican. Now, in eerie repetition of Vatican history, we have a power hungry Christian Emperor (GW) working closely with the Vatican and Judeo-Christian aristocrats to lead crusades in the so-called Holy Land. Furthermore, to leave little doubt about the reality of this assessment, the USA, as the new Holy Roman Empire, is about to legalize the torture it has perpetrated in recent years while steadily reversing many of the democratic and civil freedoms that people gained when the Vatican and royalty lost control of their European empire at the turn of the nineteenth century. Now we see them following the same old path of evil as they strive to cement the status of the USA as the latest proxy Vatican empire. Make no mistake about it, the new dark ages are looming on the horizon unless we do something proactive to prevent it.
Remember that those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it!
These scum and their ilk have consistently proven that gaining and maintaining power, at any cost, is much more important to them than anything they publicly pronounce. They have so little true concern for the well-being of others that they will say or do anything to take advantage of millions upon millions just to line their own grubby pockets and maintain power. This proves, to anyone with eyes to see, that they couldn't care less about everyone else as long as they get their hands on wealth and power, even if it means pretending to serve the Creator. It is long past time that people stand up for truth and justice and give these scoundrels their due.
This is a direct challenge to Christians to open your eyes and finally understand that you have been duped about the true purpose and nature of Christianity and the deceptive leaders you have blindly followed. How much evil must be done in your names before it finally dawns on you that you have been fooled by the very scoundrels you thought you were and/or would be opposing?
Remember the saying that "the truth will set you (and others) free?" How does "opening one's eyes to the truth" relate to "making the blind see again" or "shining the light" or "illuminating a subject?" Notice the inherent symbolism associated with this supposed New Testament "miracle?"
I know that many have chosen to write me off as some sort of a quack over the last three years. Now that this country and world have sunk to new lows and many of the things I've warned about have occurred, perhaps fewer will be so quick to scoff at things they don't understand. Neither religious followers nor secularists have been 100% correct and most have been dead wrong about much. Perhaps now more will seek true wisdom and cooperate for the good of all before the Bush-Cheney-Vatican cabal revives the dark ages and puts you all in theological torture camps.

We are all trapped in a web of deception woven with money, religion, and politics. The great evils that bedevil us all will never cease until humanity finally awakens, shakes off these strong delusions, and forges a new path to the future.
